Message status

GET https://login.meapi.in/api/v1/messages/{id}

id is message.id from the send response. Here to is the customer’s WhatsApp number as digits, without +. You can only read messages of your own account (and, for a key limited to one number, of that number).

status	Meaning
pending	Stored by MeAPI, being handed to WhatsApp
sent	Accepted by WhatsApp’s servers
delivered	Reached the customer’s phone
read	Opened (only if the customer has read receipts on)
failed	Not delivered — error has the reason from Meta

Statuses only move forward; a late “delivered” never replaces “read”. Only failed can replace an earlier status. Rather than polling, subscribe to message.status webhooks.

Errors: 404 NOT_FOUND when the id isn’t yours.
