Text messages

Free-form text can be sent only while the 24-hour window is open — that is, within 24 hours of the customer’s last message to you.

Field	Type	Description
text	string	Up to 4,096 characters. WhatsApp formatting works: *bold*, _italic_, ~strike~, ```mono```. You may also send {"body": "…"} as in Meta’s API.
preview_url	boolean	Show a link preview for the first URL in the text. Default false.

If the window is closed you get 409 WINDOW_CLOSED; send a template instead.
